Thanks! I’m glad I could add to the list. :-) I know some are not as old as others, and it’s more that I know mainstream songs better than I know the off radar ones. Btw, I’m really liking Detective Detective. :->
My age is showing as I am unfamiliar with the songs and artists in your list, except the Killers and Imagine Dragons. Not to mention, my list is a bit OLD school. :-)
All For One by Five for Fighting
Bad Moon Rising by CCR
Believe It or Not by Joey Scarbury
Centuries by Fall Out Boy
Demons by Imagine Dragons
Eye of the Tiger by Survivor
Hero by David Crosby and Phil Collins
Holding Out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler
Immortals by Fall Out Boy
I Won’t Back Down by Tom Petty
Red Right Hand by Nick Cave
Show Me the Way by Styx
Superman (It’s Not Easy) by Five for Fighting
Sympathy for the Devil by The Rolling Stones
Thriller by Michael Jackson
We Don’t Need Another Hero by Tina Turner
I know there are more titles rattling around in my head, but I can’t remember them at the moment. And there are lots of Disney hero and villain songs. ;-)
Thanks for sharing! Now I need to go listen to some new music!
There's so much good stuff here I hadn't even thought about and totally should've, given how much I listened to most of these songs, especially from Five for Fighting and Fall Out Boy, growing up! (And honestly half of Imagine Dragons' discography could go on a playlist like this; their music is so good for anything cinematic or fight scene related! I had a hard time just narrowing down the few of theirs I put on my list.)
And there are some great mash-ups and covers of Disney hero and villain songs that could definitely work on a playlist too, like you said!
I don't think it's an age thing necessarily; I do just listen to some fairly off the radar stuff, regardless of the age of the bands. (A fair bit of the ones on my list are new-ish indie bands though.)
Thanks so much for sharing you playlist and I'm glad I could share some more music! I've found *so* much music ever since I started using Spotify a few years ago, so I have far too many playlists and new music to share all the time 😅
