Letter #3: Netflix and Chill? Why Not YouTube and Chill?
Here, have some chill YouTube videos for your inbox :)
I recently stumbled across Doggie Corgi’s YouTube channel and… Oh. My. GOSH. I had to share!
Doggie Corgi
Doggie Corgi’s videos just make me SO darn happy :D
I watched Doggie Corgi’s stream for two hours the other day and it was just lovely. (Note: Though I think most of their content is videos, not streams). The stream was just an animation of some dogs sitting in a café while soft jazz plays and rains falls outside. (Which is fitting, as it hasn’t stopped raining for two days here.) It’s perfect with the rain outside and a vanilla-scented candle by my chair. (I should probably go make some tea too!)
By the looks of their videos, this is how most of their content goes: cute dog animatics with chill music. So chances are you’ll probably dig this channel if you like the game Kind Words (you can check the Steam page here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1070710/Kind_Words_lo_fi_chill_beats_to_write_to/)!
One of their playlists also includes some ASMR rain/coffee shop sounds (instead of chill jazz) that are really pleasant. As someone who doesn’t tend to like a lot of ASMR stuff, I actually appreciated this.
Some of My Favorite Videos from Doggie Corgi:
“ASMR | Cozy and Relaxing Coffee shop ☕ filled with Rain (Ambient sound / rain drops, cup clicks):”
“Simple but still fun🐾 - Animation, loop animation, Doggie Corgi:”
“ASMR| Gütiokipänjä Bakery 🍞 on a Port City (Ambient sound w/ brisk wind, and +):”
“🍉 Sweeter than Watermelon - Animation, loop animation, Doggie Corgi:”
Actually, speaking of the one other ASMR thing I know I like, lemme tell you about another YouTube channel: Cooking Tree!
Cooking Tree
Cooking Tree makes sweet ASMR cooking videos.
First of all, a note on the ASMR-ness: They never speak, so you just get the sounds of them mixing ingredients, rolling out dough, etc., usually with some soft background music (jazzy, chill stuff).
Their production value is wonderful, with really lovely lighting and a super neat, pretty environment. (It literally always looks like they’re baking in golden morning light!) They also just have cute little figurines in a lot of shots, lovely equipment, and gorgeous food to feast your eyes upon (almost literally)! It’s just a very visually pleasing place to be, even aside from all the cooking ASMR sounds.
Second of all, the RECIPES! The food (mostly stunning desserts) looks delicious, plus I absolutely love that they also give the recipe amounts in both Korean and English. So you get a cooking tutorial AND really pleasant baking sounds.
It’s a win-win, all in all. I typically watch this channel when I want to chill in the evenings or when I’m trying to wake up fully on a weekend morning. The pleasant sounds, soft light, and pretty desserts just make all their videos absolutely perfect for calming down or starting your day off nicely.

Oh my, that cheesecake is just incredible to look at! Not sure if I could persuade myself to eat it, it is just so beautiful...
Oops, I eated it.
